We live in a world where being fragmented from the things we truly desire is far too often a reality. In light of this, we all have a deep seeded longing for unity and wholeness to be restored. In a word, we desire reunion. We imagine a table, and even a city, where all races, genders, generations, socio-economic statuses, and cultures are gathered as one, where those who are new, or displaced, or marginalized, can belong, where we once again cultivate the earth. We have hope that what we imagine is possible, because there is a future table and a future city that reflects what we dream of.
Our focus is the few neighborhoods within the city of Seattle between Roy St. and Rainier Ave; a majority of these are described as the Southend of Seattle. This area encompasses the two highest populated neighborhoods in Seattle, the fastest growing major city in America. We believe these are the socially marginalized and oft forgotten neighborhoods of Seattle, especially when it comes to new churches being formed. Yet, at the same time, we know there are historic, and faithful churches that have existed in these neighborhoods for years. It is our conviction to be a part of what God is already doing, while also sparking something new.
